What are your thoughts about the Rizalistas who emerged as a religious movement? Have you ever wondered its prominence? In society or maybe to Rizal's ideologies alone?
This is the first time that I've heard about these "Rizalistas". And I must say I am surprised that there are actual people who worship Rizal of some sort. They must have liked his ideologies to the point that they built a church for him. I have nothing against those people or whoever they want to worship and praise, I am just really amaze that this religion actually exists.
Same thing, I have nothing against them. People are free to choose who they believe in, and I think Rizal had this point to somehow assert points about life which is really amazing.
I know where their main church (Don't know if it's a church though) at. They are at Dolores, Quezon. Their God is Rizal I think. My aunt had been there. They worship Rizal. As far as I remember they are mostly women. I don't know who founded it though. Probably they adore Rizal and were moved by his works and his life.
Neither am I though, the curiosity is vague enough to assume things on how it particularly existed but I kinda feel knowledgeable that somehow his proposition paved way and reasoned why people follow him. His works are tremendously sane, on history to be exact and it resembles now [again].
I think they have ultimately absorbed the ideologies of Dr. Jose Rizal, to the point that they literally worship him like a God. However, I am in no position to question their choice of religious belief. But I can say that Rizal had really made an impact to the lives of Filipinos, and that speaks volume.
I see, somehow as it became so relevant on how Rizal dig into the hearts of the Filipinos back then to revolutionize. Rizal became our instrument in achieving our peace right now.

I think their admiration for Rizal is on another league and that brought them to arrive at what they believe in.

To be honest, I am not well-informed about what Rizalistas are about, so if you'd be so kind to educate me, it will be very much appreciated.
However, I can't really understand how people created a "religion" about Rizal. They may be moved so much by his life and works, I guess.
