A school is a place for learning where students are being taught in different academic field. In this place teachers have big influence in students. Education is not available to everyone as a result children become sextons like Crispin and Basilio. Those 2 character will benefit for the secular education. If they have the opportunity to attend classes in school, they will not find themselves in a hard situation. AS we all know that those two was accused and treated unfairly by priest. The school also represent the tension between church and state. The Captain General, the most important government official support’s Ibarra’s plan and even though it also has permission from the church, it is still a threat for them. A threat so bad that they planned murder Ibarra in the ceremony but luckily he survived. Educated people can change the system, that why they try their best to blocked the development of the school.
