Crispin and Basilio
Jeremy Braza
Crispín and his brother Basilio once dreamed to be a sexton, or a caretaker of the church but they have
to study to become one. While staying in a convent, the two boys spend much time and work tirelessly
to send money home for their mother who's married to a drunken gambler who shamelessly provides
nothing. Unfortunately luck isn't their side, Crispin was falsely accused by the chief sexton of stealing
money from the church. Upon the situation, the boy has to work extra hard to make up his debt, though
his elders are constantly fining him for minor or invented infractions.
