POESIA DIECISAIS
ThE LAMP
By: Adrian Jay De Villa
Lamp grasp with revenge
Glaring eyes of the oppressed
A lot of people, doomed
Dazzled with power and cash
Even identity as the wage
People where innocent
Ignorant with what they’re up to
Alien spread fear with force
And we are drudge in their trap
Where is the light?
A reflection from within
A light that shouts justice
It is light that wakes us up
Trembling fear and oppression
From the nightmare we’ve had.
Paving the way where nothing pass
The light that flicker through
Darkest past of yesterday
Light of awakening
The light in the lamp
Waked up the nationalism
And indepence of us
