True Goal

Some of the functions of education are to teach each person the capabilities to think intensively and to think critically. It is important that learning starts from the family wherein every child must learn different life-lessons, for it can lead to improvements in their learning and behavior.

One of the persons who had the greatest influence on Rizal’s intellectual pursuits and development as a person was his mother. She was his first teacher and she was the one who introduced to Rizal what kind of world was around him. Aside from it, his mother also taught him different life-lessons which helped him to develop his character and personality. As a daughter, I am grateful that my family never forgets to give me important advice and teachings which I can use in my everyday life. Like Rizal, my mother was my first teacher wherein she helped me to develop myself in order to become a better person.

Rizal's education had a great impact in my life, for it helped me to learn more in terms of improving oneself, how to value hard-earned money, being generous through helping those who had less in the material life, and being obedient by simply obeying my parents. Learning these things is really important because it can help us to become more productive and to do better in life. Most importantly, it can be a big help to develop one's character because intelligence plus character is the goal of true education.
