This is an appreciation for one of the finest literary pieces, the second and last novel of Dr. Jose Rizal, El Filibusterismo.

A sequel to Noli Me Tangere, this dark, brooding, at times satirical novel of revenge, unfulfilled love, and tragedy features Juan Crisóstomo Ibarra, disguised as Simoun, an enormously wealthy and mysterious jeweler who has gained the confidence of the colony’s governor-general. After thirteen years, his idealism and youthful dreams shattered, taking advantage of the belief that he died at the end of Noli Me Tangere.

Driven by patriotism and great appreciation to our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the BS Chemical Engineering of Batangas State University, including our section ChE-1301, came up with the idea to show our deepest gratitude to one of his legendary novels, the El Filibusterismo. We, students emphasizes the lessons that our ancestors manifests in order to overcome the power of the oppressors and colonizers. Here, still proves that the nationalistic sense of the Filipinos are still ablaze and never been extinguished.

These videos serves as another proof that the sense of nationalism is still strongly exhibited  among youths.
